Advantage of ceramic bearings:
1. Due to the feature of resistance to corrosion, ceramic bearings is appropriate for corrosive working environment;
2. Because ceramic’s density is lower than steel, ceramic bearing is lighter; the centrifugal effect during rotating could decrease by 40%. This makes ceramic bearing’s working life longer.
3. Ceramic’s volume is less affected by temperature than steel’s, so for same bearing clearance, ceramic bearings can work under environment with dramatic temperature change.
4. Ceramic has higher elasticity modulus than steel, less change on shape under pressure. This allows improvement of working speed and achievement of higher precision.

Hybrid ceramic ball bearing especially silicon nitride ceramic ball bearing has the advantage features of low density, high hardness, low friction coefficient, electrical and magnetism resistance, wear resistance, self-lubricating and well rigidity. This type of bearing also has excellent resistance to acid and alkali, tolerance of high temperature to over 300°C, less friction and heat releasing while high rotation speed, 3-5 times of longer working life than all-steel bearings, 60% less weight than steel, 50% higher rigidity than steel.
