One of UK’s leading lubricants blenders has strengthened its sales team with three new recruits as the company heads into 2016 targeting continued growth.
Shrewsbury-based Morris Lubricants has recruited Azra Abdul, 29, as area sales manager for London and Northampton, Simon Brown, 55, as area sales for East Anglia and Jane Murdock as key account brand manager in the agricultural sector.
Azra joins the company from Total where she was area business manager for the automotive market in London for four years. An international business management graduate of Southampton University, she lives in North West London and is excited by her new career challenge.
“I have stepped away from a corporate environment to join a progressive family business where everyone works together to get things done,” she said. “I had heard the Morris Lubricants name a lot before joining the company because of its excellent products and customer service, which is very impressive.
“The company’s name is not as well known in the London area and that’s my challenge when selling automotive and industrial lubricants. It’s massive market for me and a great opportunity.”
Simon, who lives in Bury St Edmunds, joins the company after 11 years with BP Castrol as territory manager for East Anglia and the Northern Home Counties and building relationships with major motor brands.
“What appeals to me about Morris Lubricants is that it’s a family owned business producing quality products that has the customer at forefront of everything it does,” he said.
“There is massive potential for the company in East Anglia, which is an area that I know well. The company is already well established in the agricultural, heavy duty and off highway sectors but my main task is to build relationships in the automotive sector.
“It’s exciting to talk to customers and to tell them that we can literally supply all the lubricants they want. The company has created an enjoyable environment in which to do business with customers.”
Jane, who lives in Soudley, near Newport, joins the company from fuel additive company Exocet in Atcham, near Shrewsbury where she was business development manager for five years.
She got to know Morris Lubricants as a supplier and was impressed by the company. “It’s a very professional and dynamic company that is very supportive and produces quality products,” said Jane, who is studying for an Open University degree in psychology.
“I wanted to develop my career and believe I can grow with Morris Lubricants, as I have lots of ideas and enthusiasm for the role.”
